about LANCE

With two decades of experience in the construction industry, Lance brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every project he undertakes. His passion for design and architecture ignited at a young age, sparked by a simple classroom project in primary school where he first envisioned what it would mean to create homes. From that moment, Lance charted a clear path to his career, pursuing his dream with dedication.


Lance’s formal qualifications include a National Diploma in Architectural Technology, earned after completing a three-year course at Christchurch Polytechnic. Later, he furthered his expertise by obtaining an LBP Design 2 qualification. His extensive experience includes working alongside some of New Zealand’s most respected architects and well-known group home building companies.

Lance approaches every project with the same level of care, creativity, and attention to detail, making it difficult for him to single out favorites.


However, his impressive portfolio speaks for itself:


  • Serving as the architectural designer for a Grand Designs build in Christchurch, famously known as “The Red House on Armagh Street.”
  • Contributing to various homes that have won Gold Awards in the Registered Master Builder Awards, with some claiming category wins.
  • Designing two of his own homes, one of which is currently under construction with Absolute Homes.


These achievements reflect Lance’s ability to balance artistic creativity with practical functionality, creating homes that are as livable as they are visually appealing.
